You know, it’s funny. I was just thinking today that Robb Quinlan needs to be signed. The guy mashes lefties and could spell Kendry, Brandon Wood, and Godzilla. The guy is versatile. He can also play the Outfield.

I was hoping this wouldn’t happen. Scioscia has a serious man-crush on Quinlan.

    “Angels To Re-Sign Robb Quinlan”

Why? They know first hand how horrific a hitter he is.

    Must be a loyalty thing.

        V. Lefties:

        .257/.286/.365/.651 – 2009
        .282/.329/.321/.650 – 2008
        .269/.313/.378/.691 – 2007

That is terrible, just not quite as pitiful as his numbers against righties.

As far as versatility? Fielding multiple positions poorly with sub-700 OPS marks will always equal worthless.

Robb Quinlan aka Lottery Winner, dude looks like the guy who had the winning ticket and got to be apart of the team for a game. Worthless, he’s the new Orlando Palmero from the mid-late 90’s Angels.

I’ve liked Quinlan as a fan but he just doesn’t cut the mustard. Angels need someone else that can play that role.

Low risk to bring back a player they are familiar with and can play all the positions off the bench.

I’ve always had a hunch that Quinlan reminds Mike Scioscia of a young Mike Scioscia. The biggest surprise as far as I’m concerned is that he never tried to convert Q to a catcher. At least, to my knowledge.

Quinlan was a Catcher in (HS/College). He can play catcher, and he was the emergency catcher on the roster.

Scioscia’s man crush is back. i was hoping the angels would sign Erstad maybe but i dont know what kind of defense he can play anymore. and its a minor league deal so its not like he is guaranteed a spot or making big bucks

As a Angels fan I would love to see Erstad back with the halos. If nothing else he could mentor kendry on his defensive skills. Also could be a good late inning defensive replacement for kendry through out the season.
