- We should see Coco Crisp's Oakland A's debut in about two weeks, writes Jane Lee of MLB.com. Billy Beane & Co. signed the outfielder to a one-year, $5.5MM deal in December of last year.
- Jim Bowden of FOXSports.com breaks down his favorite offseason moves. Bowden praises the Angels' acquisitions of Joel Pineiro, Hideki Matsui, and Fernando Rodney.

So far, Vlad Guerrero has a higher BA, OBP, SLG, and OPS than Matsui, with the same number of RBIs. The only difference is Matsui has 2 more HR than Vlad, but Vlad has 3 SB while Matsui has none, we’ll see how the rest of the season will play out… I’m a Vladdy fan and regret the Angels declined him over Matsui, only time will reflect how good or bad the Angels’ decision was.
Small Sample Size. Plus, Vlad had a falling OPS for a while now.
