Outrighted To Triple-A: Mark Hamburger

Today's outright assignments..

  • Astros right-hander Mark Hamburger cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Oklahoma City, tweets Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.  Houston acquired the 25-year-old after he was waived by the Padres in July.  In six minor league seasons, Hamburger owns a 4.03 ERA with 8.0 K/9 and 3.4 BB/9.

    How bad must a player feel when he is being demoted to AAA from the Astros? Not even good enough to make it on a team that is struggling to even touch the 50 win mark

    perhaps a team will pick him up to beef up their bullpen. I guess he needs some more seasoning before being put back in the fire of pitching in the big leagues. At least in Houston he wont be grilled by the media about the demotion. Hitters were just licking their chops to get in there and he got eaten so this had to happen. Perhaps he could call up Steve Frey for some advice and they could work together a little to combat the issues…………… I know im missing some here.
