okay this is for all the people that think that opt-out Clauses are somehow a good thing for the team. I would like to inform you of something called waivers. if a player was playing good enough to opt out and get a bigger contract on the free-agent Market the team could always wave him and whatever team would have given him a better deal could claim him and save money in the process. or better yet if he’s playing way better than his contract you could trade him and get something for him. let me repeat opt-outs are never good for the team.
