Why exactly did they get rid of a guy like Khris Davis who was obviously on the rise? Did they not like his glove? He improved his HR totals every year 5 years in a row.

Cards make the most sense for Donaldson
I have many doubts Josh Donaldson will end up with the Cardinals in 2018. Please remember….in the wake of all of the releases, John Mozeliak, the creator of the less than potent line up and ineffective bullpens over the past 4 years. Bottom line is…..As long as John Mozeliak is in the Cardinal Organization, he will continue to throw out millions to out of their prime and low hanging fruit players. Just as Mozeliak always has done, there will be no impact, all-star caliber hitter brought in for the remainder of 2018 or 2019.
