I asked the same question for the last two months or so , never got an answer , still love the chat and keep watching.

Do you think baseball should add more playoff teams? Maybe one more each and have a bracket similar to the NFL with first round bye. First round 3 games, second round 5 games, third round 7, World Series 7 games

Baseball has always been very resistant to playing games in November. Maybe if you shorten the season to 154.

No, but if people complain about teams not being competitive to start the season, if you add another playoff slot, more teams would be willing to push the envelope and compete.
Other leagues play less games and have more playoff teams. I’m just suggesting adding one to each league.
i say yes, players would say no (not sure why with baseball, more than any other sport, rest seems to hurt your chances of winning).
case in point, since the braves in 1995 swept the lcs and win the world series, no other team has done it, then go on to win the world series (heck, seems to apply to lcs series as well. teams going into the lcs by sweeping the lds tend to do pretty badly, all things considered).
I’ve been reading 310,330,& 350,as the offers the Phillies have given Harper.If they don’t get him,ill be disappointed,but I’m not gonna be mad at Middleton or the front office.
It is reported that Harper can take a long deal with the Phillies for less AVA or a short deal at a higher AVA with the Dodgers and be close to home and have a better chance at the ring and he can sign an extension with Dodgers or go back on the free agent market.. Harper can hold out for a better offer or take one of the offers.
Yea,i got that.Im just saying to the 1 question whether fans should be mad at the gm,and he replied it was more on the owner.If the Phils are offering anywhere from 310 to 350,then their making the right kind of offers.He might just really wanna live on the west coast,year round.Cant really hold that against the Phillies….. I’m gonna expect them to pivot over to Keuchel and/or Kimbrel,if we don’t get him though.
Ofcourse I’m saying “if their offers are in the 310-350 range”…I just read their offer is for 270….If that’s the case,then they deserve to lose the bidding,and it’s 100% on Middleton.Maybe even on the front office too,as that could be # they’ve recommended not to go over.
