Angels Designate John Curtiss

By Jeff Todd | June 3, 2019 at 4:55pm CDT

The Angels have designated righty John Curtiss for assignment, per a club announcement. Infielder Taylor Ward will take the open active roster spot.

The club also announced that outfielder Michael Hermosillo has been reinstated from the 60-day IL. That move absorbs the newly opened 40-man spot. Hermosillo was optioned to Triple-A.

The 26-year-old Curtiss did not get into a game in his second stint of the year on the MLB roster; he made just one appearance earlier in the season. In 21 1/3 innings this year at Triple-A, Curtiss has allowed 14 earned runs on twenty hits with a 29:13 K/BB ratio.

Arte Moreno…..all that money, yet nothing to show for it on the field. At least he’s probably turning a profit?

Sufferfortribe, Arte can’t compete with an organization like the Dodgers. Heck, throw in the the Lakers and Rams too. Hell! Arte had to buy am830 radio broadcast just to get a radio station to talk Angels baseball. Until he can find a direction with his organization, dude is gonna have a hard time earning respect from MLB fans.

while being LA’s #2 team. the Angels still draw over 3,000,000 fans every season. Arte made mistakes with Hamilton, Wells, etc however dudgers as LA’s #1 team has made similar mistakes. the only difference is that with their money they can buy their way out of problems.

Your typical Halo clown. “While being LA’s #2 team”. Hey Dizzy (aka darkangel), your lost organization will NEVER become more relevant than the Lakers and Dodgers in LA. Hell! Kings hockey is more relevant in LA than your clown car organization. LOLZZZZZZZ!!!!!

Since when does the Angels have to compete with the Dodgers? I do agree the Dodgers and Lakers will always be a more Prominent team in la. But Angels are in Orange County. And this team is not far off. This is baseball, the best team rarely wins the World Series.

Probably the reason no one goes back to back in recent history.

The Angels have still won a World Series in the last 30 years. The Dodgers…not so much.
