Starting pitching, designated hitter and right field are among the areas that have been problematic for the White Sox this year, their 11th season in a row without a playoff berth. General manager Rick Hahn could address those spots during the winter, he told James Fegan of The Athletic and other reporters Friday (subscription link).
The White Sox’s rotation has been one of the game’s worst this year, but it’s clearly not a unit devoid of talent. The success of Lucas Giolito, who has given the team long-awaited front-line production, has arguably been the most encouraging development of the season for Chicago. Meantime, although their numbers are below average, there’s vast potential with Reynaldo Lopez and Dylan Cease. The club also has stellar pitching prospect Michael Kopech, who missed all of this year because of Tommy John surgery but could earn a spot in its rotation from the outset in 2020. Carlos Rodon’s another recovering TJ patient, but he didn’t go under the knife until this past May. Consequently, Rodon won’t be an early season option for the White Sox next year. As such, Hahn suggested the team could bring in more than one starter during the winter.
On the offensive side, it seems any moves the White Sox make will be geared toward bettering their paltry on-base percentage. “That’s something we need to improve upon,” admitted Hahn, whose team ranks 22nd in the majors in OBP (.314) and dead last in walk percentage (6.3).
The DHs and the outfielders the White Sox have utilized this year have been some of the main contributors toward their deficient OBP. The club released Opening Day DH Yonder Alonso back in the first week of July after he got off to a terrible start, even though it still owed the offseason acquisition almost $5MM at the time. The White Sox have since turned to a revolving door of players there, including first baseman Jose Abreu, a pending free agent. The 32-year-old Abreu and the White Sox have made their affinity for each other known on many occasions, so it wouldn’t be any kind of a surprise to see a new deal come together between the two.
Meanwhile, in the outfield, it seems left and center are spoken for heading into next season. Prized left fielder Eloy Jimenez will return for the second year of his career, while Hahn “confirmed” standout prospect Luis Robert will be in the majors early enough in 2020 that center won’t be an offseason priority, per Fagan. The White Sox have relied on Adam Engel and Leury Garcia there to mediocre results this year. They’ve been worse off in right, where Garcia, Ryan Cordell, Jon Jay, Charlie Tilson and Daniel Palka have combined for woeful production. Free agents-to-be Marcell Ozuna, Nicholas Castellanos, Yasiel Puig, Corey Dickerson and Brett Gardner would provide easy corner outfield upgrades on paper, though Hahn and the Sox could take the trade route instead.
Second base has been yet another offensive weak spot for Chicago, which has seen Yolmer Sanchez post a .254/.321/.322 line with almost zero power (two home runs, .068 ISO) in 543 trips to the plate. Nevertheless, it doesn’t appear the keystone will be on the White Sox’s offseason to-do list. Just as Hahn looks for Robert to come up in the early going next year, he expects fellow top 100 prospect Nick Madrigal to do the same and help solidify second base.
Thanks in part to the White Sox’s collection of young talent, they’re “very, very pleased with the progress” they’ve made, according to Hahn, who did admit they haven’t won enough games in 2019. Chicago’s sitting on 70 victories with a couple days left in the season, and it’s clear Hahn will have a lot to address in the next several months in order to get the team closer to playoff contention next year.
seth3120
Lots of potential from the farm. Sounds like 2020 will be the year a lot of that potential will be put to the test.
User 4245925809
They do have a potential dominant rotation for the next few years, or 1-3 that is, but we’ve got to see if kopech can control and command his FB 1st for the true #1. I hope he can.
axisofhonor25
All smoke until Reinsdorf spends the money. They said the same last year, and whiffed on both major free agents. That said, Harper didn’t show much to impress aside from a couple of clutch games, and the White Sox in a better position to utilize that top tier talent and trade for some studs with a mini run at playoffs this year as opposed to last. Still, Reinsdorf’s track record aside from a couple acquisitions leaves me hesitant.
cysoxsale
They possibly didn’t even offer a deal to the free agents with that filth of an owner
Idioms for Idiots
@cysoxsale
You mean besides the 8yr/$250MM offer to Machado (technically it was a 10 year deal, but the 8 were guaranteed).
cysoxsale
No evidence it was offered other than a gm claiming it.
BeeVeeTee
The Sox offered Manchado an eight year deal with a player and a team option then extra two years if he can fill certain incentives.
Idioms for Idiots
@cysoxsale
Really.
What do you want as evidence? A video of Hahn offering Machado the contract, with a closeup of the contract itself?
Wow.
Priggs89
Possibly the dumbest comment I’ve read in a long, long time. No evidence it was offered. That’s great. Maybe Hahn will send you a picture next time.
Whifff
Really? So when the entire world knows it’s $300m to get it done and you offer $250…..did you make a real offer? You fell for free PR 101 friend.
Idioms for Idiots
@Whifff
Yes the Sox made a real offer, when the vesting options in the Sox offer could’ve potentially made the contract worth 10 yr/$320MM. I guess Machado didn’t think he would get 550 PA’s in either ’26 or ’27 and went for the sure money. I’m glad he did.
The entire world knew it was going to take $300MM to get it done? Until the Pads swooped in, he was going to be lucky to get a $250MM deal. So if anything, the entire world was shocked he got a $300MM offer. I certainly was. It was 9 months ago, so maybe you forgot.
mohoney
None of it will matter until a real manager is hired.
BeeVeeTee
Us White Sox should be grateful that the organization did not overpay for Manchado or Harper! As much as I wanted to see the White Sox bring in Harper but those years with no options were too much!
wordonthestreet
Yeah Harpers 34 homers and 111 ribbies so far … who needs that ….
fishy14
Yea esp with the salary cap i mean i wouldn’t wanna go over that
But hey Jon jay provided that LH bat we need to solidify the order
BeeVeeTee
Clearly you don’t get the point! Harper’s contract is good for the short term but the Phillies will regret it like they did with Howard!
BeeVeeTee
Jay and Alonso were only brought in since the White Sox felt Manchado was going to sign here but he chose San Diego for the ten years of guaranteed money. No team option like the Sox are notorious for doing in contracts.

Are you purposely misspelling his name? It’s kind of funny if you weren’t though.

1-Sportsvision (FSN) was Eddie Einhorn’s brainstorm and a visionary idea that morphed into SportsChannel, something that all the Chicago teams collaborated on including your Cubs. The only reason it began as an over-the-air paid TV channel was because the greater Chicago metropolitan wasn’t cable ready yet like most of the country.
2-The new “Comiskey” happened because the 1% in Medina, Il. wouldn’t allow Jerry Reinsdorf’s first choice of a stadium to be built in the neighboring western suburb of Addison. They preferred country clubs over baseball venues despite the fact that most all of the surrounding suburbs were composed of industrial parks in close proximity to O’Hare Airport. Had that Addison location been approved the White Sox would have been Chicago’s team with the infrastructure of major expressways and mass transit rail already in place. The Cubs were stuck in an old park and in a congested residential neighborhood that is very difficult to commute to, especially for most suburban fans who prefer driving to games and where parking is still at a premium. JR had to settle on a location adjacent to the old Comiskey Park or the team might have wound up in Tampa, Florida.
3-If the other owners had followed Jerry Reinsdorf’s hawkish stance in regards to the 1994 strike the game might be different today. Instead they sided with Yankees owner George Steinbrenner who preferred a game with no restrictions on spending for big market times at the expense of the smaller market ones who couldn’t possibly generate the same local revenue dollars. MLB was experiencing labor unrest for many years leading up to the 1994 strike. By the time the dust settled the players were the big winners, the large market teams got their way and most everybody else lost including the majority of the fans and the game itself. To recover, MLB then looked the other way by ignoring the steroid issue while also figuring out ways to increase offense in the game by juicing baseballs and shrinking the strike zone. Not a whole lot has changed since then with the NFL still #1, players (especially the elite) receiving 8-9 figure contracts (mostly paid by the richest franchises) and balls being juiced more than ever since the sport had to compensate for the juiced players when forced to implement stricter PED testing.
4-The White Flag trade was orchestrated by then GM Ron Schuler with Reinsdorf’s blessing. Despite being just 3-1/2 games behind the Cleveland Indians on July 31st, 1977 the White Sox traded 3 veteran pitchers to the Giants for 6 prospects. The Indians had a powerhouse team that JR new his team would never compete with down the stretch. The Indians reached the postseason as did the Giants. The White Sox next made the playoffs in 2000 with the help of two of those prospects, closer Keith Foulke and setup man Bob Howry. By that time, none of the players the Giants received were still playing in San Francisco.
5-Considering all the circus events that Bill Veeck “orchestrated” as an MLB owner and twice White Sox boss, why would JR even care? For all the midgets, clowns, and disco-demolition events Veeck never once won a championship for the White Sox. At least Reinsdorf oversaw a World Series title in 2005, not too mention 6 NBA championships for his Chicago Bulls. Only George Halas has won more titles as a Chicago owner and a local fan would have to be at least 55 years old to even be alive for the last one in 1963, let alone remember it. I was only 8 at the time and barely recall that championship season, especially since it was the pre-Super Bowl era when home games were blacked out on TV. It was at time when MLB was still the #1 sport and actually earned the title of America’s National Pastime.

Try telling that to the average fan who has to drop $100+ to take a family of 4 to a game. It’s probably that for the nosebleed sections (I haven’t been to a game in over 10 years, mainly for that reason). That’s the angle I was taking. And believe me, there are other angles I could’ve taken that would’ve done the job.
By the way, have you ever been to the upper deck at GR Field? I made that mistake the first game I went there back in ’91. Never again, I’ll pay the extra for a lower-level seat. It was a bad viewing experience. The worst seat at Old Comiskey was better than that seat.
cysoxsale
Boo hoo. I paid $35 for an upper deck seat in Philly and had a great time. I’ve also paid about $100 per seat down the right field line in Boston. Fantastic ballpark. Worth it.
Idioms for Idiots
@cysoxsale
Let me try to get my point across another way in this instance. Not everyone has $100 just lying around the house. When I was single, I was like you, I didn’t have a problem blowing $30 or $40 or more on a good seat (as I said before, I haven’t been to a game in over 10 years). Personally speaking, since I have a wife and kids, it’s extremely hard to justify blowing $100+ on one game, especially when the Sox have sucked for pretty much the whole decade. That’s the problem the average Joe is having in general.
Everyone on this website will agree watching a game in person is a far better experience to watching it on TV. Most kids (and casual fans) liken watching games on TV to watching paint dry. That’s why getting them that experience of watching the game at the ballpark gives them that thirst for the team hopefully throughout the rest of their lives, as opposed to liking a team only because “daddy” likes them. But if “daddy” can’t afford taking them to a game because putting food on the table and having a roof over his family’s head takes precedence, no ballgame for the kids.
jordan1
Thank you!!! Nothing but truths. He’s building something special. Sox fans want a winner. TJ’s to pitchers didn’t help this season. Reinsdorf didn’t get fleeced by over priced free agents last year on most fans wish list. Us as fans need to let them do the work. Team is super close to becoming special.
cysoxsale
water carrier!
rayrayner
Aaron, good points.
1). I’ve never paid for cable in my life. It sucks that at least a handful of the games won’t be on WGN (Cubs and Sox) any longer.
2.) White Sox Park is not that hard to get to with stops for the Red and Green Lines and the Dan Ryan Expressway exit right there.. Wrigley Field was turning into a tourist attraction about the time the White Sox built the new park. I wonder if a rehab of the old park would have been better for future attendance. Also, Jerry created the template or at least started the trend in how to get your hands on public money for a new stadium.
rayrayner
3.) Any type of labor stoppage (strike, lockout) is bad for the fans. The players take their share of the blame for this, but I can relate to them more than the owners. Perhaps the owners should have taken a stronger stand against Steinbrenner to get some sort of NFL type arrangement.
4.). This is just another PR disaster while trying to recover from the strike. Dream deferred for two years, I guess.
5.). Veeck was managing partner of the Sox for two separate occasions, probably less than ten seasons total. He did help win the Indians last title in 1948 as owner an GM. I recommend to all MLBTR readers Paul Dickson’s biography on Veeck as well as Bill’s classic autobiography, “Veeck as in Wreck”.
Jerry has mellowed in his later years. It’s his money , but he’ll need to step up.
ChiSoxCity
Whew, getting a little funky in here, what with all the BS in the air. Let’s clear one thing up.
Those six Bulls championships are attributed to the greatness of one Michael Jeffrey Jordan. MJ won in spite of Jerry and his front office, not because of anything those cheapskates did.
Six nearly consecutive championships in 34 years of ownership reflects POORLY on Reinsdorf when put into perspective.
wordonthestreet
And Michael Jordan was in the organization before Jerry Reinsdorf bought the team.
IronBallsMcGinty
The Sox made the playoffs in 83 & 93

letting Kenny Williams stay employed, Carlton Fisk release, operating as a small market team in the third largest city, mostly being a tightwad but then splurging on people like Albert Belle, Adam Dunn and Adam La Roche also come to mind

“operating as a small market team in the third largest city”
Man, it’s almost like another team controls 80+% of that market…
ChiSoxCity
The city is big enough for two teams. The Sox have averaged 2.5M to the ballpark when they’re good. Sox fans will not show up to watch retreads like Jimmy Rollins play everyday, especially when you claim you’re trying to win a championship. The Sox just need to win and invest dollars on star players and the fans will come. The White Sox draw more local support than the cubs, and we’ll see it soon if Hahn does what he’s supposed to do.

hyraxwithaflamethrower
Starting rotation and right field. If they address those, the rest should be fine. As the article says, Madrigal takes 2nd, Robert in CF, so those should be good. There are several options at DH/1B, even if Abreu somehow doesn’t come back. I wouldn’t want Puig because of his attitude around a largely young team and Gardner’s old. Dickerson is nothing more than average. That leaves Castellanos and his great bat, but poor glove or Ozuna and his slightly better glove and lesser bat. Of the two, I’d take Ozuna: he’ll probably be cheaper, walks more, and Robert would have to cover for him less, plus with Robert, Jimenez, Madrigal, Abreu, Anderson, and Moncada, offense is not likely to be this team’s problem.
With pitching, I know Cole is a long-shot, but I’m still hoping they go all out and make a realistic offer on him. Cole, Kopech, and Gio as a top 3 could be scary. I still have faith that Cease will figure it out, but I’ve lost all hope of Rodon ever pitching a full season. As for Dunning, too early to tell how he comes back. They used to have several other pitching prospects, but they’ve struggled mightily and I think it’s time to give up entirely on Detwiler, Covey, and Fulmer, so the Sox could really use a reliable, above-average arm.
PCOLA SOX FAN
Cole is a BOR-Ass client (ain’t gonna happen)
ChiSoxCity
$200MM is $200MM. Regardless of who the agent is, money talks.
Iago407
I’d personally go Castellanos over Ozuna, as the latter hit sub .250 last year while Castellanos was far better after leaving the Tigers. Whatever issues he had with that stadium, he delivered down the stretch once he left it. That said, I’d also be happy with Ozuna. Both of them are several tiers above the players they wound up with last year, so it’d be great to see them shopping on that level and actually landing a player.
But yeah, Cole would absolutely be at the top of my list. As you said, a top three of Cole, Kopech and Giolito would be great for the Sox. If they can land two of these three players (Cole plus Ozuna or Castellanos), I think I might finally believe the franchise is turning a corner, not just in the youth movement, but in the spending / commitment from management. 250 mil sounds like a great offer when you don’t actually have to spend it.
BeeVeeTee
I would say the White Sox obtaining Cole is a long shot but I would not be upset if he chooses another team. Cole is going to demand $30 million a year with six to seven years with no team options. Cole is going to use his last two years as a bargaining chip while bypassing his mediocre career.
Meanwhile signing Wheeler would not be a bad idea for the White Sox. Wheeler won’t be expensive as Cole while the White Sox obtain a veteran with experience. Wheeler’s presence in the rotation will help with these young guys.
If the White Sox do sign Wheeler then they should offer an one year deal to Nova. Nova has been. Work Horse this year. Plus, Nova fills in a spot for the starting rotation until Kopech is ready to be in the rotation.
Let’s not forget that new rule comes into effect next season with a bullpen pitcher must three pitchers before taking him out. I think the White Sox will use Fry, Bummer, Kopech and Covey for these guys in 2020.
The White Sox should sign Puig. The White Sox’a Cuban connection is strong with Moncada and Abreu then with Robert is coming up sometime in 2020. By the way, Abreu will be resigned to a two or three year extension.
cysoxsale
Theyll bring back nova and he and covey will break camp as starters. Tank year 12.
BeeVeeTee
Covey is not a starting pitcher and that’s is why the White Sox will give him one more chance to pitch in the bullpen. Covey has a few good games under his belt this year before he hurt his elbow. Please don’t forget a pitcher coming out of the bullpen needs to face three batters before taking him out starts up next season.
ChiSoxCity
The White Sox can easily afford $30MM/7 years for an elite player like Cole. The Sox wouldn’t do a deal like that in the past because they were usually near the top of their spending range (mostly wasted on marginal journeymen). With only $24MM in salary commitments as of this offseason, money is not an issue for the White Sox.
BeeVeeTee
Money is not the issue for the White Sox! They have been over $100 million prior to the rebuild. The issue is bringing in the right player or players to take the next step. If the Astros win the World Series this year don’t expect Cole to pitch like he did these last two seasons. Prior to going to the Astros, Cole was a mediocre starter. He just got on the right team and the right time as far as I am concerned.
I stressed this before, the White Sox should monitor what takes place in Washington this off-season.
chicagofan1978
He was an ace of the pirates staff. He was pretty good albeit not like he is now but certainly not mediocre
ChiSoxCity
There’s nothing mediocre about 316k’s and a 2.52 ERA over 200+ innings. Cole is the real deal. Adding him to a staff with Giolito and Kopech would effectively end the rebuild for the Sox.
Grebek7
Forget about Puig & Dickerson. There’s a reason they’ve been passed around like a 3 dollar bill. Resign Jose for 2-3 yrs,add Nelson Cruz or E.E. at DH, Cole or trade for an 1-2 SP, Castellenos in Right. That’s it. Hope Ricky doesn’t cost them too many games & a chance at postseason. That is a scary lineup & a formidable rotation Cole, Giolito, Kopech, Cease and Rodon/Lopez.
howie feltersnatch
@aaron. It was Reinsdorf who signed Albert belle to the first 10 million dollar contract and in his words because we can Don’t go kicking Steinbrenner down the road for that. Reinsdorf also was paying Jordan 30 million plus per season
BeeVeeTee
Jordan got $32 million in his last season. Prior to that Jordan was not making anything near that since he was making money off endorsements. Reinsdorf took care of him at the end!
house71
Actually his last 2 seasons with the bulls he made 63 million
IronBallsMcGinty
That’s a poor comparison. I mean it’s Michael Jordan and the teams that were built around him brought several championships.
cwsOverhaul
Addressing lack of walks, would like to see ‘The Big Hurt’ mentor Eloy. He can develop into that combo of great hitter, with a willingness to not see walks as surrender when pitchers don’t want to give him much to hit. Walks out of opponent fear are a good thing.
If Abreu is back 1-2yrs same b/c he now has protection in the lineup. He’s too used to expanding his zone. Chasing rbi’s this year fine, but moving forward selfish if he maintains that approach.
ChiSoxCity
I see Eloy as a 30/100 guy if he stays healthy. He may never have a high OBP, and that’s ok. Only time will tell—he’s still very young.
Ketch
The White Sox only outslugged the Royals and Orioles in the AL. JD Martinez might be available. Reynaldo Lopez for JDM?
BeeVeeTee
The White Sox better keep Lopez! It would be a terrible idea to give up a young pitcher with controllable years who is progressing for a hitter with a big contract at the end of his prime.
Priggs89
JD can walk after this year and be had for nothing but money. If not, why would they trade a young player instead of just spending the money to sign a similar player in Castellanos?
Based on what’s currently available (not looking at trades, yet), Dickerson would be an easy choice for me.
cwsOverhaul
Don’t see Lopez being expendable yet unless WSox land/are willing to pay for 2 legit FA starters. Even then, Cease and Kopech workloads will be closely monitored and limited. Dunning hopefully ready for big club 2021. Rodon they just can’t trust + Boras client.
jnoch2008
JD Martinez will be a FA unless he doesn’t opt out. I would like to see the Sox sign Ysmani Grandahl, that would give us a productive LH bat, a solid defensive catcher and would solve the DH problem with a 4 headed monster of Grandahl, McCann, Collins & Abreu rotating between Catcher, DH & 1B. Would give us 2 LH $ 2 RH bats and would provide insurance in the event McCann may have had an overachieving year. It would also buy time for Collins who is not ready defensively to take on a big role.
Dogbone
He’s not even close offensively, either. Collins is not a MLB player. Backup at best.
pplama
Sox spend 5 years acquiring DH types and now want to spend on a FA DH?! Brilliant.
jnoch2008
Which post are you directing your comment to?
pplama
The one written by Connor Byrne.
wordonthestreet
He was responding to the article that clearly states the White Sox are looking for a DH
BeeVeeTee
Abreu will be the DH after they bring him back then Vaughn comes up to play first base.
cwsOverhaul
Vaughn most likely 2021. He didn’t exactly tear up low A or high A to finish this year. If he can hit in 2020 like Madrigal did his first full year in high A and AA (brief AAA), that would be great!
jnoch2008
RF should be the easiest hole to plug with several intriguing candidates
Nick Castellanos. Very good bat and hits well at The Rate …… defensively ????
Marcell Ozuna Not quite as good of bat as Nick… but close
Yasiel Puig…. talented guy but would he fit in?
Cole Calhoun LH bat and good defensively could hit 30 HR at the Rate decent defender
Cory Dickerson another LH bat not as much power as Calhoun but hits for better average.
Rallyshirt
Of the 5 mentioned, I would say Puig is the type of talent that fits quite well with the White Sox. The tricky part is assuming what types of contracts he could be offered. I have trouble imagining a team out there willing to sign WildHorse for 4+ years? Yet, he should get a contract like that at his age.
Denman
I’m partial to Puig also. The fact that most other teams might be a bit leery of his rep works for the Sox. He’ll come cheap and they can probably get him to sign for just two years. One hopes that the Cuban influence already present on the club helps bring out the best in Puig.
Rallyshirt
He’s just one of those players I don’t think anyone is particularly comfortable talking a multi-year with, but his age says otherwise. I thought about the attitude of Trevor Bauer, making his future seemingly more available as he swears to not sign more than a one-year deal for the rest of his career. I don’t know if he’s serious or if it’s a stunt.
A 1 or 2 year deal for someone like Puig is probably the stance most teams would be willing to make if their needs be. I agree though, the White Sox are a good fit in spite of what could be the risk. I think we’re setup for considerably more on the rewards side.
That being said, would you offer more time, 3-4 years? I think I would.
wordonthestreet
Move Jimenez to DH. He stinks in LF and gets hurt. Just like Soler with the Cubs. Look how Soler becoming only a Dh helped him in KC.
wordonthestreet
Has it really been 11 years since ChiSox made playoffs. I guess it has been. Well that should change as early as next year with a few good FA signings to bolster the young guys.
BeeVeeTee
Let’s all agree that Hahn is sticking to his word with focusing on draft picks to international signings and trades to beef of the farm system before making a splash for a big name free agent. Not too long ago the White Sox’s farm system use to be complete garbage and not is one of the best in the MLB. It has been a lot of agony for us White Sox fans and a long 11 years, even though they were close in 2012 then injuries to bad signings to bad draft picks hurt the team for the next four years before Hahn started the rebuild.
pplama
After 2 years in the International signing penalty box they signed a 22 year old and traded away $1mil worth onf slot $
They also stood pat at the trade deadlne with tradeable yet regression candidtaes.: McCann, Colome and Nova. Not big names, but any return to beef up a very shallow prospect pipeline could have done some future good.
Hope he continues to NOT give up draft picks on FA’s this winter.
Dogbone
I must be missing something, but other than Anderson and Rodon, what good players has Hahn ‘developed’ and drafted – that are on this current team.
Once they no longer draft in top 5, their pipeline is done. And Reinsdorf is too cheap to supplement it.
Megatron2005
Sign MadBum for 5 years. Resign Abreu 2-3 years. Dickerson 3 years. Couple of bullpen guys on 2-3 year deals like Harris and Smith. Robert CF, Madrigal 2B, Kopech SP will come out of spring training.
Cole would be awesome but the Sox need a lefty since Rodon can’t be trusted with his health.
ChiSoxCity
The lefty righty stuff is way overblown.
Megatron2005
Yeah but MadBum is also cheaper and has a historically great postseason resume. If the Sox signed Cole I doubt they’d make more moves to help the team
ChiSoxCity
Normally I’d agree with you. However, if they were to sign MadBum for less, hypothetically lets say 5 yrs/$125MM, that would increase their salary commitment to $49MM. Someone correct me if my math is wrong. Still, that’s an anemic amount of money, which means they’d have plenty of room to add a RF, and possibly another starter and bullpen piece or two.
Inkyjinx
i’m fully on the sign MadBum train. same age, dominant post-season history, will be cheaper and i present, without evidence, that he’d be a better tutor than Cole.
kane59
At this point; go with the homegrown talent, The white sox don’t do well with free agents.. Also give Ricky his own people.. They really need a pitching and hitting coaches.

If you don’t like it, don’t read the comments pages or find another site.
pullhitter445
