claude, I thought that was a legitimate question. Sure he won the CY last season, but he’s also had a couple of subpar to so-so seasons before that. In fact, he followed up his first CY, with a very unspectacular season with a 103 ERA+, 114 points less than the year before.
Over his career, his worst month has been June, followed by May, then April. His best month has been Sept., followed by Aug. then July. That suggests he’s a slow starter, but hopefully he’ll get it going sooner than July.
I love how 1/3 of the questions were about the A’s. This is the first time they are getting talked about since Moneyball or the Bash Bros
@7:55: Orioles fan here. Ragans will be fine. Quite a bit of small ball action from the Os against him the other night. Don’t recall anyone really squaring up on one.
