That appears to be the correct term although aspiring thespians can sometimes be referred to as “Gouletines”.

I’m sorry, but what is with the plethora of reds and blue jays inquired being answered? Really repetitive stuff here. I love you.

Connecting the Os 180 on Hoffman to medical reversals made one ownership and 2 FOs in the rear view mirror is pretty silly.

A 3/40 guarantee that covered 2026 and 27 with a 32 year old FA required very clean medicals. They have 3 years of control for Bautista and Suarez and 4 years for Cano. Their level of interest in Hoffman for the last two years of the deal had to be lukewarm. And they had obviously worked out a shorter commitment for Kittredge in advance.

If the medicals showed any degree of long term damage, moving to Kittredge was the obvious choice. The Jays don’t have even the bare bones of a BP and have a front office that can’t afford another 2024 BP disaster. Same medicals different situations.

Is John Mozeliak only being kept employed for the 2025 season to be a cut throat of the organization???
Seems like he and the DeWitts would want him to go out on a high note. Not one of Gloom and Despair.

Slow winter for us and got to wait for Bregman to sign to see who we can trade arenado to. I kind of want to see the youth movement considering the older veterans weren’t performing

      Angel,

A few non-baseball questions aren’t off-putting to me. We’re talking about a game, which is supposed to be fun. Try reading a FanGraphs chat, which sometimes includes discussion of restaurants/cooking, cats, music, and board games.

        gbs42,

You’re absolutely right. I read a Fangraphs’ chat one time and it diverged into a short discussion of induction stoves. Reading about the experience some had with them, and how well they liked them, was the start for me to get an induction stovetop for my house.

The guy is spending his own time, And by the way his chats are usually at least twice as long as everyone else’s, If something makes him happy hey go for it. It doesn’t bother me. I asked 2 questions he didn’t answer but I’m not gonna cry about it. I didn’t know about the early chat so I asked late anyway. They get thousands of questions for these things so gee he missed mine? Are you really gonna be THAT guy? LOL

@cpd, agree. I have communicated the same to Tim. Down votes are a civil and relatively polite way for users of this site to express disagreement, with a lower risk of escalating negative and uncivil discourse.

It’s my sense that after the down vote was eliminated here, the amount of rude and abusive rhetoric increased. Tim may have data on that and if I’m wrong I’m certainly open to being corrected. It’s not pleasant reading all the negativity and it’s my sense reinstating the down vote might help.

Judging by how much the rangers overpaid for a platoon bat with no defensive abilities, even RGrichuk might be out of Clevelands price range
