Thoughts on the Milwaukee Brewers new Hot Dog Club. $60 and you get a free hot dog for each game you go to. Now you still need to buy a ticket and parking fee and the subscription to the Hot Dog Club. But is this the best way to increase revenue? How many Free Agents will they sign in the future with the increased revenue? Seems like something the Chicago Cubs would have started first. Fun thing is the first game it’s available is Cubs\Brewer game on May 2 so I’m thinking some Illinois folks will be happy to sign up.
What options do high-caliber early career players like Paul Skenes have for getting traded before they reach free agency? Is he essentially stuck in Pittsburgh until they deal him or could he get out of there sooner if he wanted? As a Pirates fan, I want him to stay but I also don’t think we will ever give him a team supportive enough to truly cultivate his talent nor will we ever pay him what he deserves. So what options does he have as a player?
