If I recall correctly most of the prior Japanese free agents also kept negotiations private with no leaks about “interest”. I like how they do business, in a respectful dignified manner. The agents don’t use leaks as a negotiating tool, and they don’t allow teams to discuss negotiations either. I wish more players/agents conducted business in the same manner.
