Good move for the Giants. He was the unsung hero last year and always took the ball when he asked to spot start or eat up innings for the bullpen. Great clubhouse guy from what beat writers have reported.

This Would be a smart move. This guy was a beast the last 2 years for the giants.

Guillermo Mota is worth every single penny of that $925k salary he earns for cleaning up Zito’s mess. If I was Mota, I would start sending Z a subcontractor’s invoice for all the innings he threw for him.

Why did this take so long? Signing Mota was a no brainer.

‘Atta babe. I think it’s time to disregard his time with the Dodgers and welcome him as a “Forever Giant.”

And by 38, they mean 43.  I’m good with this.  Mota’s arm will never all off…

“hmmm good solid veteran guy.  even though he’s on the downside of his career we could still use him.  better keep it to just a 4 year deal.”

This is so stupid and getting old. Besideds Mota, Huff, Affeldt and Sanchez the Giants are actually a pretty young team.

Also the Giants havent handed out a 3 year deal in 3 years I think.

if its really getting old i’m sure sabean has his top scouts evaluating it as we speak.

Agreed, getting old. But have to admit, that scouts comment was pretty funny.
