Kopech has already started limiting walks. Through his first 16 starts, he averaged 6.09 BB/9 in 78.1 innings. Through his final 9, he averaged 1.93 BB/9 in 56.0 innings.
While I do think the organization wants to take their time with him, he will be forcing their hand very quickly.
