i feel like the league would block trades by teams simply looking to recoup lost funds. kinda defeats the purpose of the comp. balance the league has worked so hard to build.

i think the Pads benefit well from a shortened season. their SP health situation would have been concerning over a full year, but some time off could help guys like Paddack, Lamet, and Richards.

A lot of teams are going to benifit from a shortened season. In fact everyone but the doormats of the leauge will.

oh certainly, i just think the Pads may more than others given how much lies in their SP health. same goes for LAA.

MLBTR had an article, “How the Delayed Season Impacts the Yankees”… it’s a shame they only cared about how it affected their team.

This is false.. We also wrote similar pieces on the A’s, Angels, Phillies, Indians and Twins. Unfortunately, we had to put that series on the back burner because it wasn’t generating enough traffic.

No kidding. That’s probably why you guys intended to just use the Yankee article. Every team has basically the same issues. Gives injured players an opportunity to heal. Stunts the progress of the prospects. Decreased income…. Duh.

BTW, not entirely false… I didn’t say you didn’t cover any other team… just your favorite team.

I’m not the one that wrote an article about how the delay would affect a team… and then try and pass it onto 29 other teams, like they are somehow in different situations. We knew they wanted to focus on the Yankees. No big deal. Just own it.

Financials aside for Jeter’s ownership stake – I can’t think of another scenario he is running a MLB team than being a minority owner of one.

As a pirates fan I’m looking forward to a 100 game or less season, that is the only way they’d avoid losing 100 games

Yankee Trade Rumors should write an article about CC Sabathia and how much weight he’s lost since retiring. Ooo, give us the juicy details…
