Yup, no one is better than the Dodgers and Oaklands rag tag roster won’t win in October.

The A’s may not be the best team in baseball, but “rag tag” teams rarely go 20-9 after consecutive 97-win seasons. They’re pretty good.

Thie whole century they have been an over achieving rag tag group. Nothing wrong with that, they make good use of their few resources. But as far as playoffs go they are not scary and this has been proven.

The A’s do have as many World Series titles as the Dodgers in the last 30 years…

whoever said Adell a bust? can I hope on that train with you? man does he look LOST in the outfield.

at bat , he looks just as lost and just doesnt seem to have that “hit” tool and I dont ever see that coming. way to much movement in that swing to be consistent. trade him now for some arms PLEASE PLEASE !!!!!!

The Angels probably should have done that before the season started.

I brought this up daily and was praying for it especially with Marsh right behind and imo leaps above Adell. but I guess it’s still early but just the eye test alone he looks even worse then Upton

#1 How are you going to trade a player in.your words is “lost” and expect to get anything???
#2 He (Adell) did look.like a fish out of water when he was called up. But he’s already improved in the very very short time he’s been up.
#3 How can you give up on a top.prosoect after only 2 weeks? Whats wrong with you?

He was playing against high schoolers 3 years ago. Give the man some time.

Have to pile on with this one. You want to maybe give the guy at least enough time to put his suitcases down before you hit the panic button? Would you have traded Trout after his first experience with the majors? Going from AA and AAA to the majors is a big adjustment. Give him time.

trout didnt put numbers up right away, but he didnt look like a guy who waved 3 times an at bat. he also didnt commit nightly errors in the outfield. just eye test , it looks like hes the type to not be a guy to hit over .250 and that’s best case . best case a Buxton-defence

So if a player hasn’t lived up to your standards in 2 weeks time, Its time to cut bait on a top prospect. ???
Also its unfair to compare Adell or anyone to Trout. He’s also quieted his swing down and playing better defense. Taking better routes.
          What is a Buxton defense?

I remember another guy who was hugely hyped and Padres fans at the time thought looked lost at the plate when called up, with his .141/.281/.242 slash in 150 pa. His name was Anthony Rizzo. I wonder whatever happened to that guy?…

Why is Epstein and Joe Maddon’s relationship soured. So many people think Maddon was fired. Mutually agreed to part ways. Contract expired is not the same as being fired. Doubt theo leaves the Cubs and he shouldn’t leave either. That would mean a rebuild. Cubs window is wide open. They just need a closer.

Yea it doesn’t sound like they have a bad relationship generally. Epstein felt Maddon’s style had gone stale in the clubhouse and a change in leadership / routine was needed. Maddon was let go though, he reportedly wanted to stay but Epstein basically told him the team thought otherwise.

That’s still not being fired when your contract expires and hoth sides agree to part ways. Maddon wanted to leave as well. A change was needed. Having 120 different lineups isn’t going to help your teams morale.
