Rangers 29, I am with you on Steve Adams chat. I submitted three questions today all of which were ignored as usual. Steve A. and Mark P. seldom ewver answer Ranger questions. Connor B only one I have had minimal success in getting to respond during chats.
Geebs
lol poor Rangers, obviously one of MLBTR’s hiring policies is hating the Ranger’s specifically as a requirement.
Rangers29
Lmao, I didn’t get a question answered today. People just use the “Rangers29” username in these chats just to make it look like I say it lol. I don’t mind, but I’m just saying that I didn’t get answered today.
I’ve been using the username @therealRangers29 as my name on JotCast now just because I find it funny that people use Rangers29.
rangers13
I use C.Young on JOtcast. Doesn’t change the fact that Adams and Polishuk both virtually refuse to answer Ranger questions. By the way what is your take on Folty thus far.
jorge78
Have you tried Steve on Twitter?
jorge78
Stalkers!
Rangers29
Btw, I honestly don’t think people necessarily “hate” the Rangers here, they’re just honestly not as interesting as some other teams right now. That’s fine. The Padres just got jacked this off-season, the White Sox are young and talented, and Jo Adell is still in the league, so there’s always questions to be answered about that. The Rangers just kind of fall into the shadows, though it’s fine because it’s pretty nice being a sleeper team.
Oh, and I wanted to commend you on all of the Folty appreciation you talked about a few months ago. You were probably the first one aboard that bandwagon, but he looks terrific with his newfound velocity in ST. Great to see.
rangers13
Thanks. Hopefully, we caught a diamond in the rough. Still a bit uncertain at 3b and though Guzman is doing well Calhoun still underwhelming, hopefully that changes, as Davis has looked bad, but find it amusing all 5 Gallo HR came with Davis behind him. After Gibson, Folty, and Arihara who do you see at #4 and #5.
Rangers29
The 4 and 5 is actually going to consist of 4 people: Allard, Hearn, Cody, and Benjamin. Probably a piggyback of Benjamin and Hearn, and then Cody and Allard. The problem is that 3 of those guys are lefties: Hearn, Allard, and Benjamin. Lyles is said to be working out of 50-60 pitch outings, so he seems to be a piggyback candidate, but that means that one of Hearn, Allard, and Benjamin needs to go even though all have been terrific in ST.
Benjamin has been the best of all of the Rangers’ pitchers this spring, but I believe that Allard is going to have a good season this year. The changes he’s made, and the velocity that he’s gained in ST makes him look like his old scouting reports said when he was a top prospect. I believe that he is going to have a Mike Minor-esque career, and that he will have some good seasons in the near future.
jorge78
I hope Davis isn’t burned out…..
Badfinger
My suspicion was right. That was a troll type question and I’ve never seen you act like a troll on here.
jorge78
Too bad the Rangers didn’t sign M. Franco. He cost peanuts…..
bravesiowafan
Even with folty s increased velocity you ranger fans continue to look past his biggest issue, his head. Was the velo drop and weight drop part of the problem last year? Yes but he’s always struggled with consistency due to getting in his own head. I wish him the best of luck with y’all but after wat hung his Braves career I wouldn’t hold my breath

There are thousands of questions submitted each chat.
rangers13
Understood but 6 questions about Ohtani makes it difficult if those were all answered and your team’s questions ignored.
paddyo furnichuh
Maybe that’s more than normal based on his ST, but he has been one of the more notable baseball athletes since before he became an Angel.
jorge78
Six !!?? Seems a bit much.
Don’t ever expect much out of Steve. He has the shortest chats with the least humour. Somehow he makes talking about baseball boring…..
paddyo furnichuh
BTW, I counted 3 questions about Ohtani with my shoes on.
paddyo furnichuh
jorge78….I think he adds some humor to his chats-but less frequently than some. Mark P’s sense of humor definitely comes out more in the chats. It’s good to have varied styles.
Rangers29
Btw, Steve sounds awful tired of the B.S being spewed by the people using the Rangers29 SN lol. That reply looked awfully irritated.

Rangers29;
The Rangers – like the White Sox 5-6 years ago – don’t hold the rights to enough quality young ML players within their 6 year windows, along with enough quality prospects in the high minors, to form the nucleus of a 3-4 year contender in the near future.
They’re cobbling together a pitching staff that may be decent, but hardly upper-tier. They don’t appear to be a speed team, a power hitting team, a small ball team, a pitching team or a defensive team. They’re just a collection of the best players they have or can acquire.
The Rangers would do well to have their scouting department working overtime to find youngsters in other teams farm systems, come up with a plan as to what sort of team they want to build, and start trading off every marketable player on their roster for young players. They may have to wait 3-4 years before they see the results – and they may fail. So what? Right now they’re in a weak division (minus the Astros…who are not what they were 2-3 years ago), and if somehow they luck into a post-season spot the next few years, they’ll probably will be eliminated in the first round.
Rangers continue to go around in circles, which is why most MLB fans aren’t interested in them – unless they’re putting a quality player on the trading block.
Rangers29
I’m not disagreeing with you whatsoever, and I have nothing else to add on to about your comment above. I know there’s bigger things to talk about in baseball right now… I didn’t say that people should talk about the Rangers more, and I never have. This entire discussion has been about some person who used my username in the chat and said that the Rangers don’t get enough attention. That’s it.
BobGibsonFan
Complaining about the Reds defense… try looking at the Yankee defense. And they are playing players in their natural positions.
