For Brad Lincoln
Pagan just got pulled mid inning when he was due up 2nd in SF…Pagan+ for Snider?
nevermind
too bad…he would have been a good get for the giants
i shall be credited with the first to report said news. snider for lincoln (?) from pit
Pirates
if this is the Pirates’ big move (if there’s truth to it), then it isn’t quite enough.
My guess is that they dont want to sell the farm in 2012 but rather build for a good run in the next couple of years. Making the playoffs this year would be huge but having a foundation for a few years of good baseball is more important to them.
now that i actually read up on this Snider guy, i feel dumb. he has a ton of hype and seems to be reaching his potential. i might like this after all.
He was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Brad Lincoln.
Hey Neal, I’d just like to say thanks for giving us Jose Bautista for nothing a few years ago. We’ve been feeling guilty about it lately and know that it must have been tough. Here… you can have Travis Snider. You’re welcome 🙂
Snider to Pittsburgh to Brad Lincoln.
Lincoln? LINCOLN?
Pirates
No… not our #LunchBoxHero!!!
For Brad Lincoln, apparently. Welp, this’ll be fun to watch unfold.
Possibly Correia?
for Brad Lincoln
If it’s for Lincoln then this is just a terrible trade for the Jays. Good value deal for Pirates but don’t know if it will really make them a whole lot better in 2012.
Shocked that AA would make this move. Maybe there’s more to it than that.
Lincoln straight up for Snider? Yes PLEASE. Jays get a closer of the future (he’s an awful starter but lights out from the pen) and we finally get a legit corner OF with many years of control (under contract til ’16). Great move, Neal. It’s nice to trade with a team that’s offering quality players for reasonable prices. I’m glad we moved off dealing with the Phillies and their insane GM asking for the moon for a bunch of mediocre overpaid players.
