Whatever happened with Alex Cobb. The Cubs stated that wanted him aboard before the winter meetings started, and now they are over and there was never even a mention of him.

Jeff: Zero reason to force a trade. They should stick to their price.
Couldn’t agree more. I want to see Hernandez traded this offseason while still at top value, but the Angels just didn’t seem willing to pull from an already depleted system to get him. No sense in forcing it. I’m hoping a team with a deeper system and need at 2b (Yanks) puts in a good offer for CeHe.
Q: When will the Phils sign Jaime Garcia?
Jeff: Seems like a good fit.
Agreed. Spent a good portion of my evening last night comparing stats on veteran, LH, FA pitchers for the Phils to pair with their current rotation. They can’t run out a 5 man squad with Nola and then 4 inexperienced arms again this season. I’ve always loved Liriano and hope the Phils can pick him up, and I hope they sign Garcia as well. Get it done, Klentak!
