Holy crap almost all of those duquette proposals are incredibly one sided. Allard for moustakas? Burnes AND Phillips for J. A. Happ? Multiple top 100s for rentals? Top org for a super injured and expensive rental? These are ridiculous. Can’t believe this guy was a GM… Oh wait, he was on the Mets. That explains everything.
Moustakas isn’t even an upgrade from how Camargo is playing now.
I don’t know how teams pick GM’s. I feel like some of the legitimate commenters on this site would be better than some of the garbage running teams now.
Yeah Allard AND Touki for Moose would be an INCREDIBLE overpay for the Braves..
Allard is a 21 year old lefty, successfully making his way through AAA, with a sub 3 ERA, and solid peripherals, a top 50 prospect, and one of the youngest, most talented pitchers for his age.
Touki is one of the most purely talented arms in the minors. His breaking ball is the stuff of legend, and he’s been steadily progressing year in and year out. To trade him now, with his ceiling would be a massive mistake…Much less for a moderate upgrade, that’s a PURE RENTAL, with an almost ready top 50 prospect at the same positon in AAA, in Austin Riley…
