Dodgers need a SS… Tigers trade Baez?
Thesecondjamie
Dodgers are way too intelligent to do that
Motor City Beach Bum
I’d love to see them ship him to L.A. and try to add another minor leaguer to snag one of LAs impact rookies like Cartaya but LA grabbed Rojas from the Marlins for SS insurance and he’s a defensive whiz. Unfortunately I think they are covered. I’d be ecstatic if you were right but only if they can get value back. Otherwise I say hold Baez until the deadline and see if someone will overpay if he’s doing good.

They are not contending, so I’m sure they would listen. They can always go with Kreidler/Short at SS. Both are good defensively, and Detroit never got to see Javy’s offense, so it wouldn’t be missed.

Short Ks more than Javy, with none of the upside

I think the leader in saves will be Cisneros. It seems like the job is his to lose….
Motor City Beach Bum
Him or Lange. I think they actually have some intriguing new BP arms in Guenther, Wingentner, Uceta and Englert. At least one of them should click and take Soto’s spot.

I would also like to mention that Jake Rogers is in camp and had already homered. Eduardo Rodriguez had a lot of good things to say about his play behind the plate. Those are very encouraging things.

Ownership has changed, since their last competitive window…
Mike Illitch, was willing to lose money to try to get a championship before he died.

Tigers offseason in review: no players got haircuts or beard trims….or better at baseball.
The Saber-toothed Superfife
I got a haircut. Supercuts, $24 for a haircut.
I took me a couple of days to work up the nerve to pay that much for a haircut.
just like I said. Greedy baseball players are ruining our economy….everyone sees stupid money and wants to be rich quick. It’s a shame.
And what.makes.it. worse…is.they are all doing it…..no competition anymore…it’s hey, let’s all charge that much…..our culture has been changed.

I L-O-V-E stupid money!

Tork, Meadows, Carpenter could hit 30 HR. Baez, Greene 20+ HR. Pitchers step up. Everybody plays D. Tigers would be decent.
But… Maybe a couple of these happen?
