Yes, do you have them in super small size? It’s from an old football injury.
Whoops, wrong site… my bad. Too many windows open.

Once in Vegas, I think the A’s will be a hotspot where free agents want to play
Steinbrenner2728
Isn’t that what they said about the Raiders too? or do you know who owns the A’s (hint: someone a bit much worse than Mark Davis)

My 2 cents on Spencer Turnbull is that the Tigers could see he didn’t have it last May and tried to delay his march towards free agency by sending him down. At that point I think he was somewhere over 100 +/- days from reaching it by the end of the ’24 season. By going down his service time stops and the Tigers could bring him back up in late July or later and still have his rights until the end of the ’25 season. Turnbull, with his agent, Scott Boras in his ear, said…”Nope, I’m injured.” This is after he was demoted but not yet reported to Toledo. ML players on the DL still accrue service time.
So now, after the DL stint, Turnbull is only 5 days short of gaining that coveted.2024 free agency designation. Now it’s his turn. “Nope, I’m still injured. I can’t pitch, even in the minors.”
I think Boras/Turnbull want the Tigers to non-tender him. Boras thinks he can get ST a nice contract because he has 2 years of control left on him now. If he pitches in Detroit this year and gains the service time he is only controllable for 1 more year. If the Tigers do offer him one more year of arbitration, maybe he gets another contract similar to the one he now has and he will have to pitch like he means it next year so he looks valuable as a FA at the end of next year. The Tigers could trade him at the deadline too if he’s anywhere near serviceable.
Turnbull wants out. Boras wants some contract leverage. He doesn’t have it if it’s just an arbitration deal. Tigers have to hope, if they resign him, that he doesn’t wallow around and hope for a Tiger release.
Me? Let him walk. I think his talent has little wings on it and is drifting away like a butterfly in the wind.

It’s pretty impressive what two cents can still buy in certain situations.

And they say there’s a lot of inflation!

If Spencer Tuenbull wants out of Detroit, don’t make any effort to keep him. Boras clients are nothing but dust to team chemistry.
gbs42
Garry, any evidence to support that theory?

Heard it on Nothing Personal. Good enough for me

Of course the A’s will change the spending once in a new stadium . That will be the time to plug in the right players around the seasoned youth core by 2028 . I’m fully excited to ditch that Oakland fan base which is only good for chanting to stupid stuff and making dull tee shirts , oh and bringing their stupid dog to the stadium .

Why do the writers on this site continue to ignore the escalators in the Marquez contract when talking about value if he’s good?
