Jays haven’t played since Friday and are opting to pitch Biagini in the doubleheader, why? Did the starting staff and bullpen arms not rest enough over the weekend? Have him as the long man instead. No good reason to do this.
MLB allows an extra pitcher for doubleheaders. Starting two starters on the same day can throw a rotation out of whack regardless of how many days off they’ve had.
A bit interesting. I guess they want to give Biagini some big league work. Happ will now miss the Yankee series and the Yankees will see Garcia instead, who they know well. Happ will now have 9 days since his last start and there’s another off day scheduled between the Yankee and Red Sox series.
Typo alert for the writer… Enny Romero was claimed off of waivers from the Nationals. You accidentally wrote that he was claimed from the Pirates, when of course he was claimed BY the Pirates.
