With all due respect to your baseball knowledge… I think you aimed a little low on Jake Junis of the Royals. He had one lousy relieve appearance last year that Killed his era. He was very good in all his starts last season, he was tough as nails in spring training and he was sharp today. I think it’s a sign of things to come for him and would not be shocked if Dayton more extended him soon.
Just to clarify: Trout would not be a Hall of Famer if he retired tomorrow, because he would not be eligible. Trout is going to the Hall, for sure, but he needs ten seasons first.
About the Acuna questions: Technically, April 14th is the first day he can be called up with them retaining an extra year of service time, but for practical reasons there’s a fairly good chance they’ll wait until they’re back in town on April 16th against the Phillies.
