Giants after starter #3 will need to pray for rain in that rotation, they do not seem to have the depth to keep up in the west.
Its like they want to finish with 81 wins – they are just hoping for players to over excel to get above 81 wins.
it depends on the young guys but it would be a lot more comfortable if those young guys were projected bullpen guys that can step up to the rotation and not depth rotation pieces. the depth of teng, tidwell, birdsong if he can figure it out, whisenhunt and a few isn’t bad – especially teng and whisenhunt who looked good at the end of last year but I don’t feel good about depending on them and a couple of 4+ era guys at the back end of that rotation
Nah. Roupp is a very solid #4.
compare these two players: 2020-2025:
Player A; GS 89, IP 473.1, ERA 3.61, WAR 10.3
Player B; GS 88, IP 496.1, ERA 3.34, WAR 9.4
Player a 30 yo, contract 1/10mm
Player b 31 yo, contract 2/32.5mm (65mm)-
3/95mm club option or 3/86.5mm player option
A= Mahle B=Glasnow
Mahle can have good years and bad years. Both are injury risks
Oh, that’s great to hear! Thanks so much!
Weird. There was a compliment about the podcast there, which I was replying to.
The guy that complimented was also a guy that was combative in other threads, and was deleted there.
I see.
Good news/bad news. You’ve got an admirer. But they’re a troll!
Yeah, not sure how to feel about that.
What an absolutely crappy podcast. Waste of time.
I sure wish the Giants were as serious about competing as the Dodgers.
Grrrrrr.
