The Phillies are bringing him back. Slugger Kyle Schwarber and the Phils are finalizing a five-year, $150MM deal, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN. Schwarber is represented by Excel Sports Management.

People making fun of the pirates as if they didn’t make the exact AAV offer that Philly did. They just added that 5th year which will likely make the back end a real albatross. Very few if any guys are worth $30 million in their age 37 season. The Phillies can eat that, no small market team possibly can.
