Jayson Stark's Latest
Jayson Stark has a new column up today chock full of trade rumors, and it's not behind the Insider wall. Check it out. Some highlights:
- Stark's source doesn't think the A's are actively pursuing Byung-Hyun Kim or any starter. And teams are wary of using Kim as a reliever.
- Jim Bowden's price is way too high for Chad Cordero. Bowden did this with Soriano and it was a blunder.
- Closer-worthy relievers like Lidge, Otsuka, and Linebrink will stay put. Juan Cruz is an intriguing name that is on the market.
- Plenty of available outfielders, including affordable sluggers like Jason Lane and Marcus Thames.

jayson stark is an idiot.
there was only one guy they could add who could take away the "dumbest guy on ESPN" title away from jayson stark, and guess what...they found him.
Steve Phillips is the only man on earth that could challenge stark for that title.
(kruk is the dumbest man on earth, but he doesnt count. he's more like a mascot. a village idiot.)

Did anyone see the rumored trade for A-Rod? Funny!
Now if there will really be a trade I expect it to be the Dodgers offering Elbert, Kershaw, Loney, and Kemp.
The Yankees might do that.

Yea? Elbert, Kershaw, Loney, and Kemp? Are you sure the Dodgers should throw in LaRoche as well?

If the yanks were to make a deal with the SD wouldnt they start with Arod for Kouzmanoff? Would Arod play SS?

"jayson stark is an idiot."
I did hear something about him being a racist as well. John Kruk too.

Folks...we know A-Rod is really good but teams won't give up their 8 best prospects for a year of him.

any chance of the cards picking up one of these outfielders with an opening day outfield of duncan, schumaker/taguchi, preston the plague wilson/speizio

First of all i want to separte myself from the other comment about SD giving everything up for Arod. I was basically stating that it would make no sense for the two teams (NY-SD) to enter trade talks unless they are to swap 3B as the starting point and moving on from their. IF this were to happen the yanks would need/demand/want Kouzmanoff in the deal to replace Arod. It wouldnt make any sense for SD to keep him behind Arod with no place to go play. Of course this is all speculation and i dont want Arod to go anywhere.

Reggie might be a possibility to be back in STL.

"I did hear something about him being a racist as well. John Kruk too."
"Idiot" and "racist" usually go hand in hand.
Kruk's opinion on anything just doesn't count. People that stupid just don't matter.
Racism gives hopelessly stupid people purpose.
In most cases, racism is misguided frustration. They're too scared or stupid to channel their frustration towards the true source, so they allow these negative feelings to manifest into racism.
Racism is nice and safe for cowards.
You know u will have others who share ur ignorance.
You know there are plenty of targets that in most cases, will not even be aware that they are the victim of your ignorance.
You can reveal it only when it suits u.

By the way, wealthy people love to spread racism.
The rich guy jabs a broom stick up ur ass....
....u blame the janitor.
It's perfect.

Is the racism message board busy?
Is that why you have to taint this site with your arrogant, quasi-intellectual, completely off topic babble?

""Idiot" and "racist" usually go hand in hand."
I think I heard something about Harold Reynolds being a racist, as well. It may have been the reason he was fired from ESPN.
Posted by: PeteRose | March 22, 2007 at 07:09 PM
Reynolds was fired for sexual harrasment.
