Greg Maddux Rumors: Thursday
1:50pm: Jayson Stark says Maddux is not heading to L.A., which means he won't be traded.
7:07am: ESPN's Buster Olney says trade talks for Greg Maddux have stalled between the Dodgers and Padres. The Dodgers have mild interest and all the leverage as the only West Coast contender who will consider him. It's unclear whether the disagreement is over the $3.3MM owed to Maddux, possible prospects involved, or both.
Olney believes The Professor could be put on waivers on August if no deal is reached today.

If Ned Colletti had not spent Frank McCourt into bankruptcy they could probably have Maddux by just taking his contract.
Unfortunately with Ned Colletti's stewardship we are stuck begging medium and small market clubs for money to pay off contracts...

I hope a deal gets worked out, because i would like to get maddux back for another 2 months, even if and when he leaves for another team next year.

I have a great deal that would bring Maddux back to the Cubs. Cubs trade Jason Marquis and send along a gift basket and a gift card to Bennigans for Greg Maddux.

what is this i hear about dodgers thinking of trading kemp for jason bay...does anybody else think that that would be one of the dumbest dodger moves in recent years..its still speculation at this point right???? Ned isnt that dumb is he???
