Why is Longoria and Aviles ranked so low? Some of these look awfully skewed to me.

Longoria only a rookie and the stats take 3 seasons into account. Pedroia is only fifth as an example and he has played 2 and 1 month, or he would be much higher.

Juan Uribe's case should be interesting. The White Sox want him back, but only as a utility infielder and at a reasonable salary.
If Juan wants to start and get a larger contract, he'll go elsewhere.
So I'm not sure the Sox will offer him Arb regardless of the compensation pick since they might end up stuck with him at a higher number than they want.

Rookies are generally ranked lower, since they have only played for one year and the stats take 3 seasons into account (I initially thought 2, but when looking at the rankings, 3 makes more sense).

The Elias rankings take the last two seasons into account.

"The Elias rankings take the last two seasons into account."
Yikes..
Apologies for the mis information of 3 years I put up earlier people. Try not to do things like that when am almost certain of something like that.

Juan Uribe won't get a starting job from anyone. His defense is great and he has good power, but his contact and plate discipline are so poor that it drags down his value.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Dodgers signed Uribe at 3rd if they couldn't acquire Beltre or resign Casey Blake. I'd take Uribe or Crede any day of the week after the last two seasons of uncertainty.

What are you smoking. Blake DeWitt is already a better player than Uribe. Why bother signing Uribe for 3B when DeWitt can be moved back and the team can ink Hudson for not much more than Casey Blake would make?
