Oh, Joe Borchard… owner of the longest homerun in White Sox History… 504 ft, yikes

I wonder why Halladay wouldn’t want to work with Felix??
yankeesfanaticfrom94
they said he wanted to play in more of a larger market and he wanted to practice in spring training in florida so he could be with his family.
satoshii
He doesn’t want to be the #2 in the rotation…….
PhilliesPhan34
he would’ve been #1 over felix
TwinsVet
Because he’d also be working with 23 other less-than-desirable players who he wasn’t convinced could be contenders?
philliesgirl2203
cause he wants to play for a team who wins and that the phillies he gets to teach cole hamels

I wouldnt’ be too upset if i’m a mariners fan. Cliff Lee and Felix are pretty darn good.

pitching in safeco field would have been much better than pitching in a box like citizen bank park.

I think it’s smart of Dave Dombrowski to go with the youngster. You might not know what you’ll get from Sizemore, but you do know what you’ll get from Hudson–a mediocre bat, declining glove, and player who lost his job to Ronnie Belliard. I’ll take the uncertainty of a good prospect over projectable mediocrity.

That Travis Buck articles was crap! RivAveBlues, have you ever seen Buck play? He’s a self-proclaimed slap hitter, and certainly doesn’t have “pop” potential. I love stat monkey’s talk baseball, and have no clue about how the guy actually plays the game…

“He’s a self-proclaimed slap hitter, and certainly doesn’t have “pop” potential”A “slap hitter” with a career 40% FB rate, nearly 1:1 GB/FB, league-average swing percentage, league average contact percentage, 180 ISO, and who has seen about 41% of his hits going for extra bases? Now I’ve heard everything…

The fact that the Pirates had no one on either of Callis’ “All-Bust” teams is downright astounding to me, considering the boneheaded drafts that Littlefield assembled.

Shocking – the Braves will have to eat more than $9m just to move the guy (forget about talent coming back). I said it before and I’ll say it again, until Lowe’s price tag drops down into the $10m/year range the Braves won’t be able to move him.
It’s funny. I thought there was supposed to be this great market for Lowe once Lackey was signed. Turns out there isn’t. Nobody but Braves fans thought the two were remotely similar. Lowe is a back of the rotation starter now for any decent AL team.

It would be crazy if it came down to Lee vs Halladay in the 2010 world series!!!!! Go Mariners!!!!!!!!!! Doubt it, It would be amazing if the Phillies even got to the WS for 3 straight years.
PhilliesPhan34
Maybe I’m just biased but they have a good shot. Theyre team should be even better this year

$9million worth of eating obviously wasn’t enough for Lowe. The Braves would probably had to eat more the 1/2 of the $45million remaining.

Yea Man i think M’s vs Philz WS 2010 and i also may be a bit biased but we are a bit of a better team with polanco and halladay, and our upgraded bench, but we still need to upgrade our pen and rotation a bit maybe sheets in the rotation and some other dude in the pen
