And the odds of Moyer posting consecutive 21-win seasons in his late forties?
Utley4God
Correction: posting 21 win seasons outta the bullpen

Well the fact is, Moyer has been great to the game of Baseball and as long as he doesn’t throw his fastball, his stuff is still effective. I hope he pitches till he’s 80. That way, he could be a pitcher/Manager/General Manager/Owner.
DodgerDog47
this might be the brett favre of Baseball!
Mack
He will actually make 8.0 million this year due to incentives for starts and IP, which was why he complained so loudly when they pulled him from the rotation last year. He got a few spot starts from there and earned lots of bonus plus salary. His extra year is the real reason they had to deal Lee, the extra year for Ibanez will cost them Werth and who knows what the extra year for Polanco will cost them.

Moyer is goin to play till he cant walk. as Charlie Said ” That Moyer is one stubborn old man” but honestly he shouldda retired a month ago he got his Ring and his 250th win id call it quits for god sakes and a note to Moyer ” Spend time with your Family!!!”
Cade White
come on, did you ever think that maybe his family is supporting his pursuit of his dreams? maybe they’re as interested in how long he can play as we are?
Ricky Bones
He’s a jerk so yeah they probably share the same dream of not having him around the house.

Retire, damn it!
start_wearing_purple
I can see it now: 2022, Jamie Moyer while pitching for his 15th team becomes the first 59 year old man to win his 300th game.
R_y_a_n
That’d be awesome…
Cade White
I would tune in for sure.
Encarnacion's Parrot
So Moyer wants to pitch in 2011? That’s fine, I’m sure there’s a few beer leagues around looking for an arm.
BentoBox
Seriously Moyer, time to retire ! Give the other kids your roster spot.
Cade White
Give? Why don’t you tell those other kids to go earn their spot.

Hey let’s face it, there are alot of major league pitchers worse than him right now in a rotation. I think he’s going to go into camp this year feeling refreshed and determined and will for the sheer sake of his pride win a rotation spot for the Phillies. If he wants 300 he needs to average 14 wins the next 3 years. He is playing on a really good team this year and i belive could easily do that if he holds up. He has a very outside chance but I won’t count him out yet.

I love seeing a guy like this who loves baseball so much that he wants to do it till he is absolutely not able to.
This has Ed Wade and the Houston Astros written all over it.
