I could totally see this being Brendan Donnelly: The Sequel. Don’t let it happen Neal.

Maybe he can dupe Brian Cashman into signing him again. Sure would’ve been nice to see Ted Lilly in pinstripes for the past 7 years. Who can blame Brian, though? Weaver, Kevin Brown, Kei Igawa. Who needs Lilly when you can have one of these superstars?

Since Suppan will (hopefully) not be back with the Cards next year, maybe Weaver can fill the “terrible 5th starter who amazingly pitched lights out in the 2006 playoffs” role. Or perhaps Anthony Reyes will be available.

If Weaver wants to pitch for the Dodgers he will have to take his pay in deferments. McCourt is broke. Weaver can be an ace on that staff. Kuroda will be gone, billingsley is inconsistent and it would not suprise me to see Kershaw sold one of Frankie boys favorite tricks.
