Poor Mariners, Beane said everybody improved but them in their division.
oaklandfan22
Well I think its apparent they improved. I dont think he needed to state it.
DarthMurph
It’s apparent Texas and Anaheim improved too.
RyÅnWKrol
He also said the division improved itself, which means everybody.

The Crisp extension was a smart move. If Crisp puts up numbers close to what he did in 2013, someone else would overpay for his services. 11 million isn’t chump change, but it’s a good value for what he brings to the table.

This is going to be a fun division to watch next to the al

You mean ahead of the AL East.

Nate, the Wichita Wingnuts (the team that you own) could use your services again.

Sox need a second lefty in the pen. Robertson can battle it out with Veal, Leesman, Evan Crawford,Surkamp and Mauricio Robles

Nice of Billy to give the Angels a verbal pat on the head, but I think he knows that the A’s main competition for the division is the Rangers.

$11 million for Crisp is an overpayment, but there’s nobody down on the farm to replace him at the moment and he’s a Beane favorite. Coco did have an excellent year in 2013, but it’s doubtful he can repeat that again.
Imagine how good the A’s would be now if Beane hadn’t traded Carlos Gonzales and Houston Street for 1/2 a season of Matt Holiday and what ultimately became the immortal Michael Taylor.

Funny considering the only reason the Rangers had a winning record was their record vs the AL West. And especially considering Holland is out for at least half the season with not much depth to replace him. The division is up for grabs dude.
