Solid. Only reason Salty is ahead of him is the side he bats from. Along with the LF game, he has played a couple at 3B. I am waiting to see if he pushes Aviles off the team.

I would hate to see Aviles go, being a multi-position, excellent clubhouse asset. But if Doc can really be serviceable at 3rd, LF, and possible 1b,its a no brainer. He still has 3 years of control left for less money. Worst case is to eat the $2MM owed Aviles (plus possible Luxury tax).
