Trot Nixon Signs With D'Backs

According to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, the Diamondbacks have signed 33 year-old outfielder Trot Nixon to a minor league deal.  Nixon is considered Chad Tracy insurance.  When Tracy is healthy Nixon could be without a role.

Nixon could also play some first base, spelling Conor Jackson occasionally.
