I'm so happy Lowry had such an atrocious performance in front of a Sox scout. I also like the fact that Gonzales mentions Jonathan Sanchez whom I've been touting since this all began.
Also I had the dissatisfaction of watching Josh Fields in action yesterday on CSN. Just awful, awful defense. I know it's only ST but damn this guy's gonna be a butcher out there.

Apparently Lowry REALLY doesn't want to be traded.

I have to disagree with "Sanchez and prospects"
If it was more than a 1 for 1, then Sox better be picking up a significant portion of the contract.

Admittedly Sabaen is a moron but I sincerely doubt a Sanchez for Crede trade. First of all, Crede's not all that great. His career .300 OBP is fairly uninspiring and other than being a postseason hero and having a great 2006 I don't see much that would make me trade someone like Sanchez. Now the Giants do need offense... desperately, but Sanchez had good success in the minors and is a young strikeout pitcher. So really, Lowry for Crede still seems most likely.

Brett Favre is retiring. Unbelievable, going out on top (almost on top.)

With regards to Bonds: I was under the impression he's a Type A. True?

Meow, correct. But someone correct me if I'm wrong, Giants never offered him arbitration so I don't believe the Giants get any compensation.

“Meow, correct. But someone correct me if I'm wrong, Giants never offered him arbitration so I don't believe the Giants get any compensation. “
…correct.
And its nice to see someone else saying the Bonds/Tribe fit is one the team should be looking into…

A Giants beat writer (don't remember the paper) said on the radio this morning that Lowry has wrist tendinitis, which was causing him to have problems gripping the ball. The Giants are shutting him down for a day or two.

i dont know, i'd give Lowry a couple more games, if he still isn't gonna be good then i'd forget about it, if shows potential i would go for it, knocks it out, really push for it....

knowing how good Lowry is when at the best of his ability, i'd take that for the Sox

the tigers should sign bonds. that lineup would be downright lethal. bonds and sheffield could switch between dh & lf, as a sox fan, i'd be terrified considering the amount of flyball outs we give up

The Tigers should NOT hire that POS. He is a clubhouse cancer and a half. We chased Dmitri Young out of the bldg because he was a cancer. No sense bringing in another one when we already have a great lineup! We need relief pitching and that is it!
Posted by: prestoncas | March 04, 2008 at 04:05 PM
fair enough, but taking his supposed clubhouse cancer effect, that still would be a video game lineup, scary
