I think the most shocking thing out of this report is the strong possibility that Juan Uribe, Gregg Zaun and Sean Casey all end up with Type-B status. Can you imagine getting compensation for letting one of these bench-filler types walk? Talk about a lucky break...
Anyway, Furcal has played only 170 Games the last two seasons while being absolutely horrible at the plate last year. It comes as no surprise that he currently misses the cut a bit. But if he somehow comes back and plays regularly down the stretch, it is possible he manages to sneak in as a Type-B. He isnt far off the Mike Fontenot/Edwin Encarnacion pace at all…

Did Randy Johnson qualify for Type A/B?
If so would he play elsewhere or accept arbitration?

The report didn’t include pitchers, and its not finalized anyway since there is still about a month of the season to go.
To answer the Johnson question though, I would imagine he would accept arbitration as he seems to want to be there and its the best way for him to guarantee a solid payday. His age a health making him a risk on the FA market, it would be kind of foolish for him to walk away from Arb just to struggle to find an acceptable offer from a team he would be willing to play for. If Johnson pitches again next year, I think its unlikely its anywhere other than Arz…

The teams have to offer Arbitration still. Uribe? Made like $5 mil this year. Do you think the W.Sox want to risk him accepting the deal? I also do not see Casey or Zaun getting more money on the FA narket then they could by accepting arbitration.
So in the end they won't be 'letting one of these filler types walk.' They'd be taking a big risk by offering arbitration. Not a Lucky Break.
And if Johnson got offered it he'd accept. He is making over $15 mil this season. The would stay the same or even go up in Arbitration.

the Angels could have 4 type A and 4 type B!

Tadahito Iguchi should be bold, since he will be a free agent after this year. (Type B)

Mark Ellis as a type B? Crazy.
Tim, you should post again the stats that are used to compute these ratings. Readers should know they're awful.
