Can these Pirates fans and reports stop the pipe dream of Wilson coming to the Dodgers? The Dodgers have said repeatedly they don't want him. Unless the Pirates eat all of Wilson's salary, and are content with someone in AA ball, Wilson isn't coming to the Dodgers. Logan White makes sure his drafted prospects aren't traded unless he's sure they won't amount to much in the big leagues. Of all the players the Dodgers have traded in the past 3 years, Edwin Jackson has been the best. And he's a fringe #4/#5 pitcher so far in his career and according the Keith Law, should be a reliever.

I do not understand why people are concerned with anything teams are doing in this offseason unless they are the Yankees.
It is getting pretty clear who is going to be winning the series next year.

It is clear who is going to be winning the series next year... the Red Sox.

Dodgerfan cracks me up,"Can these Pirates fans and reports stop the pipe dream of Wilson coming to the Dodgers?"
If I remember correctly it was the Dodgers who contacted the Bucs about Wilson. You must be in the Dodgers front office bro...

I hope we keep Wilson on the Pirates. If Hu is going to be the take no thanks. I've heard other names to but nothing worth talking about.

Haha, Kron is funny.
And are the buccos really in need of another outfielder? Moss, Morgan, McLouth, McCutchen, Pearce, and possibly Tabata in September. Hmmm, a 6th or 7th OFer is always essential in "championship caliber teams"

If Nutting would stop being a cheap ass, maybe Pirates could contend for the first time in almost two decades.

as first reported by a pittsburgh paper...refuted by an l.a. paper...then l.a. reporter is called a liar by the pittsburgh reporter...gee, whom to believe?
the guy isn't going to be traded to the dodgers. the trade never made sense from l.a.'s point of view.

But then the Pirates asked for Hu, Young and a third prospect, without eating the whole contract.
That's an awful deal for LA.
Hu may be better than Wilson as soon as next season, if he can show anything with the bat.

why jerry hairston jr?

If Hu is so good, why not just put him out there. Obviously, the decision makers for your Dodgers are exploring every alternative but playing Hu. If I were a Dodger fan, I'd be worried about an obvious cash flow issue. They won't take on any contracts without the trading team picking up the whole tab, but then again, you did sign perennial all stars Andruw Jones and Juan Pierre for multiple years.
