MLB.com's Tom Singer reports that the Indians designated reliever Greg Aquino for assignment to make room for Mike Gosling. Aquino, 31, walked 15 in his 16 innings of work, striking out 11. The righthander is a veteran of parts of six major league seasons.

Speaking of Cleveland relivers I wonder if they would shop Kerry Wood, the Yankees could both use and afford him.

Sano, yes, but Aquino is definitely not 20. Thank you for commenting.

Well, we don't need him if our buttheads keep coming into games with multiple run leads and walking guys like that is their sole purpose in life. It would be great to actually use Kerry in a save situation, but I think the only way they will ever be able to use him will be Goose Gossage style three innings every night.

If the Indians move Wood it puts them in full rebuild mode - back up the truck - Lee and Martinez would be available.
I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, but the Indians FO probably looks at the sad state of the Central and thinks they can come back and contend next season.

Wood isn't going anywhere the offer would have to be a totally outrageous offer then maybe Shapiro would at least listen.
