Today let's take a look at the Wasserman Media Group's free agent clients. Their best known agent is probably Arn Tellem. Here's the list:
Wilson Betemit
Aaron Boone
Nomar Garciaparra
Jason Giambi
John Grabow
Rich Harden
Shawn Hill
Ryota Igarashi
Reed Johnson
Jason Kendall
Hideki Matsui
Jason Michaels
Guillermo Mota
Vicente Padilla
Wily Mo Pena
Joel Pineiro
Matt Treanor
Randy Wolf
Omar Vizquel
WMG is light on regular position players this year, with Matsui and maybe Kendall qualifying. They've got several of the free agent market's top starters in Harden, Pineiro, and Wolf, with Padilla generating interest as well.

I think it's just to show who IS NOT a Boras client.

I have always been interested in who represents who, so you will have to bear with me...

i just read on mlb.com that some japanese source has reported that the red sox are preparing an offer for matsui to play left field every day. not only is this insane but this would be betrayal on the part of matsui

I bet you accepted Johnny Damon with open arms, though...

I'm not going to bother checking that source. It cannot be true.

We dropped that in here:

But I don't think it really deserves any more play than that.

Is this the same agency that had the whole Furcal-Braves fiasco last year?
Posted by: chipperboy1 | November 11, 2009 at 05:02 PM
No. not the same

White Sox pitcher Ehrin Wasserman should join the Wasserman group. No particular reason.

Me too. Fire away.

Yeah this is the Furcal agency. Paul Kinzer was the guy for that.
Posted by: Tim Dierkes | November 11, 2009 at 05:25 PM
I don't have a problem with it Tim. Keep going.

Kinzer and Tellem were both in on the Furcal deal. AFAIK, Tellem is the senior guy and focuses a bit more on basketball than Kinzer does.
That brings up a big difference. Unlike Boras, who is baseball focused, or Steinberg, who is football focused, Tellem works both baseball and basketball.

I believe all of the Adam Katz clients fall under this umbrella as well.

Hey Tim, just a quick add in, Dmitri Young and Frank Thomas (if he's still looking for work) are also represented by Wasserman Media

Also potential Japanese import Ryota Igarashi, as reported by y'all elsewhere, but let's throw him on the pile here, too.

Nevermind.
