I think Jason Bartlett would be a good fit on the Padres. Maybe for Brandon Gomes?

I can’t believe the Pirates won’t give Park a guaranteed deal. He was good for them, and do they really have so many options?
Smrtbusnisman04
I don’t believe it either.
Park, Ledezma Resop, Meek, and Hanrahan is a pretty solid bullpen.
And also, Neil, Please avoid Jeremy Bondermann at all costs!!! The man was useless last year and won’t be lighting, but crap, in a bottle!!

When do we start considering Alex Gordon a bust?
Tko11
I thought thats been settled already!

Alex Gordon still has tons of potential, he just needs to be given a chance. Look at his stats in 2007 and 2008.

Also, any word on who is interested in the relief pitcher Jesse Crain? I know that the free agency pool among relievers is particularly strong, but I would love to see the Mets add Crain to the pen – even with their limited finances.

You could start anything that Rosenthal writes about with “As you might expect…”

“Red Sox GM Theo Epstein says he’d like to add starting pitching depth, tweets Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald.”
What, seven starters (not counting Bowden and Miller) isn’t enough? He must be planning to trade somebody.

Lester, Beckett, Buchholz, Lackey, Dice-K, Wakefield, Doubront, Bowden, Miller, Tazawa if healthy… no, they don’t, but depth diminishes very quickly.
Remember their ‘lengendary depth’ of 2009? Lester, Beckett, Buchholz, Dice-K, Wakefield, Smoltz, Penny, Tazawa and Bowden… Buchholz was no sure thing, Dice-K sucked, Wakefield was average, Smoltz and Penny ended up on different teams, Tazawa got injured and Bowden was bad.

I’d love to see Bartlett come back to Minnesota. He was the part of the Delmon trade that made me upset because he was an allstar in the waiting and we stole him from another team. Hopefully we can possibly make a swap of SS and they get Hardy and we get Bartlett.

Jeremy Bonderman might be a cheap option for an NL team looking for an innings eater. If he is healthy he will usually take up 190+ innings, and in the NL, his ERA may make the innings he eats into a good number of quality starts.
I also think Chan Ho Park is far from done. He should catch on somewhere and provide a year or two of decent middle relief.

Depending on cost, I’d like to see Bonderman come to the Mets

I honestly don’t believe anyone would trade Morrison or Stanton for Ozzie.
