I believe that leaves Ron Mahay as the final active “replacement player” from the 1995 Spring Training.

One of my favorite all time players, both for what he did and for NOT being a part of the MLB Union. Thankd Donkey for so many nice seasons and for that great WS ring you helped bring to Anaheim and for the Union still stiffing u and the other heroes of the walkout.

That means Ron Mahay is the last replacement player, ….unless Jamie Walker returns.

Brendan, you were awesome on the Angels. Thanks for the memories.
That’s about how it goes. You play for good teams, then not so good teams. And then when the Pirates cut you, you’re done.

I get a kick out of these guys who can’t find a job “announcing” their retirement. I guess it makes them feel better to say they retired.

I don’t think Donnelly made some big announcement, probably more like Doug Miller got him on the phone and asked him.

Today, we say goodbye to a true American hero.
Well, he may have used Pine Tar, and Steroids, but still… he was pretty good.
