All we need is another sport in lockout. Please just get this done to avoid any speculation.

See now why cant the NBA be this efficient with their negotiations?? My arse has been stuck watching hockey during the week as i wait for college football on Saturdays and NFL on Sundays
MB923
I take it you don’t like hockey all that much
Christopher Soto
Well its alright and all but NBA def ranks higher on the totem poll.
Edgar4evar
The NBA can burn to the ground for all I care. Seriously, the players should just void their contracts for lack of payment and form a new league. David Stern is a cancer on the human race.
Bob9988
Seattle is loving this. We hope they lockout the whole season and the NBA goes crashing down in flames! HAHAHA!! That would be awesome!
JJP
I am in DC, and I hoep the NBA goes crashing in flames.

please no one game play-offs between the wild card teams. no hard cap for draftees, please.
b.s. just go away.
John_Ginder
Trading of draft picks would be pretty cool. I am not too thrilled with the Astros to AL West and an additional wild card team.
It will be good once this is resolved and we have nothing to worry about. Who really wants to hear about 1994 again?
Luis
Who would you rather go to the AL West then?

arizona would be easier for travel.
Bob9988
I’d say the Padres. But more than that, I don’t like the idea of continuous interleague play. Think about it, its possible that on the last day of the season, a NL club can determine who makes it to the AL playoffs. That’s wrong. Either add two teams, take away two teams, or just leave it alone.
MaineSox
Have I ever mentioned that I don’t like Bud Selig?
Edgar4evar
Here’s how realignment should work. You need to add a team to the AL West and remove one from the NL Central. Houston is the easiest choice and it makes sense. And for travel what makes sense is to have one division built around the west coast, and one division built around the southwest. But you have to blow up which teams are in which league:
NL West
Seattle
Oakland
San Francicso
LA Dodgers
San Diego
AL West
LA Angels
Arizona
Colorado
Texas
Houston
This preserves the most-storied rivalry between the Dodgers and Giants and makes for reasonable travel for all concerned. Plus it puts my M’s in the NL where they apparently believe they are anyway based on the quality of their DH’s since Edgar Martinez retired.
It’s neat how this could never happen with all the league-switches, but it makes a lot of sense.

Get this done Selig! If this turns out like the NBA im gonna freak
cookmeister
Does the CBA have an affect on whether or not the Astros switch leagues, if there is new playoff team added etc? I’m pretty sure it doesn’t but just want to clarify
Edgar4evar
The CBA definitely would include agreeing to the one game playoff, but I would assume Houston can switch leagues if the ownership and the Commissioner decide it will.
