I always liked Vazquez, a consistent pitcher who struck out a lot of batters but never got much attention. Well, at least until he got to the Bronx, but being a good pitcher who sucked for the Yankees is a plus I guess.

David O’Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution doubts Jurrjens will be traded? Why is this even a topic for discussion? He’s a very good young pitcher! I guess David was bored and ran out of things to write about!
Phillies_Aces35
Well they need offense and have a surplus of excellent pitching *prospects (edit: I hate autocorrect), so that’s probably the reason it’s a topic of discussion.

Dan Uggla seems to be on Vernon Wells’ every other year plan. Maybe you can say the same for Heyward?
rundmc1981
Maybe we can bicker and moan about it being the home ball park’s fault that we built then move the fences in when our overhyped players don’t hit enough HRs not a half-decade from when it was built.
MetsMagic
No, the Bravos hit enough home runs, but that’s all the offense did. Jeromy Burnitz and Jack Cust would like it, I guess.

Braves would be making a HUGE mistake trading JJ…DON’T DO IT!!
Lunchbox45
depends on the return really.
if they could use him to land a drew or something, then why not
jsmoltz29
Preferably Stephen over JD 😛
Lunchbox45
If JD can play short, why not? lol
jsmoltz29

I know he had a great 1st half. He is injury prone and he is due a raise in arbitration. I think I would consider trading him even if you are selling a little low. If the money they save on JJ could be used to improve the offense. I’m high on Medlen. I know they aren’t sure he will be in the rotation next year but I think that would be a mistake.
rundmc1981
I’m high on everyone but JJ. I don’t care if we sold a little low, the man is injured quite a bit and when he is, he stinks. Even when he’s healthy, his stuff is declining.

Vasquez is just not worth $10 million, a franchise trying to make a splash that’s on the rebound would be wise to spend that money elsewhere, or at least try and cut that deal way down
