Veras to the Cubs maybe? He’s 32, not impressive, but has had some success, and if he’s been outrighted off the 40 man, there’s not a lot of demand for him. Sounds like the kind of guy they’ll be going after on short term deals.

Veras will definitely get a look after the season he put up in Milwaukee. He’s not overly impressive but he can be solid in certain situations. Since going to the National League, his ERA has improved. Someone will grab him.

I was thinking the same thing. I think he could fill in nicely for the Cubs, and for not a lot of money. He could possibly be flipped at the deadline if he has a good first half.

Time to change the alter ego’s name to T-Flush.

Is outrighted the same as Designated for assignment? Will Morgan be place on waivers and it goes from there?

Well, I realize he was sent to Triple-A. I’m trying to understand the difference between him and Veras. I would guess this is Morgan’s first time being outrighted.

The headline reads like the entire Astros team was outrighted to Triple A…
Dynasty22
Well most of them should be.

I’m sure someone will pick up Escalona. Recovering from TJ surgery. Had a good year in Houston in 2011. Hope my Cubbies sign him.
