Well, you never want to see a guy need TJ, and it’s certainly unfortunate. I just wonder if by hiding the injury initially, he caused more damage to himself trying to pitch through the discomfort. That could be the difference between trying a rehabbing stint and definitively needing the surgery.

Yankee doctors have repeatedly said…. a partial UCL tear does not require surgery. So… just rest up Chase, you’ll be back soon enough.

I haven’t saw the word partial being used in this case yet. I suspect it was originally partial when he had the pain and remained quiet,but caused a full tear last night in the process of trying to push through it. Hopefully he doesn’t need surgery but from the info being put out there, it’s not very promising.
