Rosario and Pedro Alvarez would make nice replacements for Chris Davis and Steve Pearce in Baltimore

I’m sure the Mariners would have loved another 1B/DH type, if Jack Z. was still around.

I wish we could turn the clock back to 2011 and trade Rosario when he was a top 50 prospect. The Rockies were in the race in the summer of 2011 and a package revolving around Rosario would have gotten a very good/great starting pitcher that may have pushed the team into the playoffs for the third time in five years. Dreaming is a lot more fun than reality.

Not sure what the team gets as a return now. Maybe some organization filler or a very distant flier prospect

They won’t get anything of value unless he is a minor piece in a larger deal or swapped for another disappointment (i.e. the Ian Stewart/Tyler Colvin deal from a few years back). My bet is that he will be non-tendered and go on to mild success as a DH for someone, possibly the Royals. They always seem to take broken Rockies (Guthrie, Paulino, Morales) and turn their careers around.

The whole situation reminds me of Doumit
