Not that many teams with the need and resources, so probably this just reflects one or more of those teams dropping out. If, say, the Giants and Nats have made it clear they’re on other priorities, that would make the Mets feel pretty good. How many other teams are gonna spend $25m AAV on a corner OF?

Facing Bartolo and Dickey is going to be weird for Met fans to watch….both guys still have a following in NY. Bartolo is sneaky good and should be a great clubhouse presence in ATL…you guys got a winner in Bart.
