2026 Arbitration Tracker

By Anthony Franco and Darragh McDonald | January 8, 2026 at 9:53pm CDT

Today is the deadline for players and teams to exchange figures in arbitration — an annual deadline that leads to a slew of one-year deals and, typically, a handful of multi-year deals. All but 18 arbitration-eligible players reached an agreement. Each player’s service time is in parentheses, and you can of course check back to see each player’s projected salary from MLBTR contributor Matt Swartz. All agreements are for one year unless otherwise noted.

I don’t see Houck, Casas, or Oviedo getting much more than they got last season due to all the time each one missed with injuries. Romy should get a nice raise assuming he doesn’t agree to a new deal before hand

Swan, sack is a troll. From his name Sack obviously works in food service and is agitated about that being the extent of his career growth.

Gonzalez had a 2.0 WAR in just 315 PA and hit .331/.978 against the short side of the platoon. He is a great platoon player.

Maybe he owns the fast food joint that Sack works at? What do you think?

I am sure he is, now he has enough money that he can own multiple restaurants so you don’t have to worry about having to eat sack lunches anymore.

This was Casas first time through arbitration and as expected he more than doubled the major league minimum he made last season.

Resox- Did you notice Houck’s salary exactly marches his service time? Is that a coincidence?

Probably is. But I’d love a million dollar raise for every year of service time at my job

What is the purpose of providing service time? It would be more interesting to see projected salaries without needing to view an old article. Just my two cents worth a penny.

Service time is a MASSIVE factor in what they get paid. If a player has 3 years of service they will never get as much, or even close to as much, as an equivalent player with 5 years.

Today I learned Brenton Doyle and Brendan Donovan are the same person. There’s no way Donovan would have signed for 3.1 million.

I wonder how much the Yankees are going to be talking about Volpe being “elite” if it goes to an arbitration hearing (although, it is highly unlikely).

Seems like as good a time as any for the Brewers to give Billy Contreras a big extention. C’mon and do something Matty!

The Rangers have reached agreements with all four of their remaining arb-eligible players. No money figures yet. As always, there will be no arb hearings for the team.

How did Sanchez make 6.8 million. Brown’s 5.71 million is well deserved.

Should have non tendered Sanchez or tried to trade him earlier in the offseason. Wouldn’t have gotten anything but I wouldn’t have to watch him on this team so that’s a good exchange lol.

False, I was born and raised an Astros fan, grew up with the original Killer B’s when Sean Berry was playing 3rd. Went to the Astrodome a few times as a kid ans everytime out of coincidence I guess it was Shane Reynolds pitching.

Langeliers signed for 5.25M. Doubtful they can get him extended at this point with Boras being his agent.

What happened to Michael Grove (Dodgers)? He was on the projected arbitration salary list back in October, but is missing from the arbitration eligible list now.

Unfortunately arbitration still relies on stats like BA and RBI’s to gauge a players worth.

Local radio is saying the Padres have come to agreements with all of their arbitration eligible players. It sounded like a couple were more than just a single season.

They also are saying that the Padres have sold out season tickets for the 4th consecutive season even after increasing prices on some seats and total number of season ticket seats available. They also said the waiting list that people pay $105 to be on, increased again this year to over 3500.

Next year they will. He gets one last chance since his injuries have been unlucky. I’m excited to see him succeed. There might not be many ABs for him, but he can hit his way into the lineup as a strong side platoon at DH.

“An annual deadline that leads to a slew of one-year deals and, typically, a handful of multi-year deals.” Wrong again. Bad comma usage, as usual, from you people.

It should be: “an annual deadline that leads to a slew of one-year deals, and typically, a handful of multi-year deals.”
