Willie Harris is a solid utility guy. As long as he signs a cheap extension, this seems to be a decent signing. As long as they're only looking at him as a utilityman and not an everyday player, then this is good for the Nats.

So I guess they won't try to sneak him through waivers? I don't understand why this is even being mentioned here. If the Nats hope to keep him, how does that fall into the realm of "trade rumors"? It would be different if Willie was saying in that article that he wanted to go somewhere where people would "respect" him - i.e., pay him more money.

You really haven't realized by now that MLBTR covers free agents, arbitration, and extensions?

CMac1973 - If the Nats hope to keep him, how does that fall into the realm of "trade rumors"? What a bonehead!!! Tim keep up with the good work by providing us information of players potentially on the move or NOT. You deserve all the kudos, you've been receiving lately.

"a left-handed bat who plays infield?!"
You almost make that sound like a bad thing.
